    We rolled up this morning to this 24,100 gallon backyard paradise because the customer was noticing calcium staining on their bright blue tile and was having problems with managing their chemistry. As calcium hardness increases in pools it literally sucks up chlorine which can make it troublesome as water temperatures increase.

    Total Dissolved Solids - 6064ppm
    Calcium Hardness - 700ppm
    CYA - 80ppm

  3. May 15, 2012 Swimming Pool Recycling Project

    We rolled up this morning to this 25,500 gallon backyard paradise because the customer was noticing calcium staining on the tile and an increase in chlorine usage.

    Initial Chemistry

    Total Dissolved Solids - 3200ppm
    Calcium Hardness - 500ppm
    CYA - 150ppm

    After 16 hours of recycling a total of 21,000 gallons was conserved with the following final results.

    Total Dissolved Solids - 800ppm

  4. That Is A Lot Of Water

    Over the weekend we just finished one of our largest swimming pool recycling projects. The swimming pool was 100,000 gallons and a total of 85,000 gallons was conserved. This is the second time we worked with Friar's Village and were specifically asked to come back because even the swimmers that complain on a regular basis love how soft and silky the water feels. Plus, they love the fact that it's not necessary to close the pool during this project let alone waste so much water.

    Our customer builds custom homes in the area and we've known him for almost 30 years. This is his daughter and son-in-law's property. The pool will be a free form pool, but the unique part about it is that the entire pool will be 18" out of the ground (to allow for seating area for those outside the pool) and the spa will be raised 36" out of the ground. There will also be waterfalls, a grotto and a slide.
