Here's a safety tip you could try: We call it the "Life Bracelet". Next time you are out at the store, find a waterproof, soft cloth or neoprene item that can be worn as a bracelet. Make sure it fits snugly. The next time you have a pool party, or gathering with children attending, assign the bracelet to a responsible (preferably adult) person. Tell him/her they are the designated child-watcher.
The child watcher must remain in the pool area at all times. Explain that the child watcher cannot leave the pool for any reason, unless they give the bracelet to another qualified person. That person must also follow the rules as explained to the first child-watcher. If done correctly, this can help ensure someone is always in the pool area and alert. Often times, tragedy strikes when everybody thinks someone else is watching the kids in the pool. Also, keep a telephone near the pool area. Post emergency phone numbers nearby. Find out who can and cannot swim. Have fun, be safe, and protect our children.

For additional information, we suggest you check with the state and/or city in which you live to obatin the most current pool safety information and regulations. For your convenience, we have provided you with a link to the Arizona Department of Health Services below...
